Home & School Association (HASA)

- HASA is the fundraising and engagement segment of St. Cletus.
  We are parents, teachers, faculty and staff coming together to help keep St. Cletus a prosperous campus. The HASA Board and members plan great events and fundraisers that benefit our school and our students.

Joining HASA

Membership to HASA sponsors school wide development. Register at orientation with one of the board members or return the form sent home with your child. Dues are $25.00 per family per year. They can be paid at orientation night, the first HASA General meeting, or through Gulf Coast Bank’s portal. All members who pay their dues by the September meeting and attend all four HASA meetings will be entered into a drawing to win a cash prize equal to ¼ of tuition. This name is drawn at our last HASA meeting in May.

HASA sponsors class parties at Christmas and at the end of the school year as well as activities for all grade levels throughout the year. Some of these events include:

Some classes are still in need of class captains and co-captains. If you are not sure if your child’s class is in need of either a captain or co-captain, please contact Miranda Mudge via email at colthasa@gmail.com.

- Fundraising
  The main fundraiser we participate in is through Boosterthon, which takes place in the beginning of the school year. Throughout the year, smaller fundraisers take place to fund many of the HASA sponsored events such as Teacher Appreciation Week. These are through Spirit Nights and Give Back Nights at local restaurants, Smoothie Day and Snack Cart Day as well as the quarterly sale of Brag Tags and Smencils. This gives ample opportunity for families to support our school, while getting a treat! Be on the lookout for the schedule of events for the year as well as reminders as each event approaches.
- Homeroom Parents
  To be eligible to become a room parent, your dues to HASA must be paid and your interest request must be submitted by the first week of school. Interest request can be filled out at orientation or with your homeroom teacher.
  
  A lead room parent is chosen in August from each homeroom. Duties of the lead room parent include assistance in Boosterthon, sharing HASA related information with your homeroom, and any special tasks your homeroom teacher requests throughout the year.
  
  Any parents signed up and not chosen as lead are included in the room parent message board and are on a list given to the lead room parent for additional help needed throughout the school year.
  
  All are welcome and encouraged to be part of your child’s experience at St. Cletus!
- HASA Board
  The HASA Board members meet monthly to plan some great events and fundraisers that will benefit our school and our students. This ranges from theming the upcoming events to scheduling time for set up and take down of decorations. Feedback from previous events are shared and discussed on how to make the next year’s event that much more successful. Information from these board meetings are then relayed at the quarterly General HASA meetings for everyone to learn more and participate in the upcoming events.
  
  Board members are required to volunteer at one event per quarter as well as be in attendance of 75% of meetings.
