Pre-Kindergarten 3 & 4Pre-Kindergarten through First GradeAt St. Cletus Catholic School, we’ve created a warm, welcoming environment where our youngest learners feel safe, supported, and loved. Our programs for three- and four-year-olds lay the foundation for lifelong learning, helping children grow socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Through playful, hands-on experiences led by caring and experienced teachers, children explore letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and sounds in fun and engaging ways.Each day is thoughtfully balanced with enrichment classes like Physical Education, Art, Library, and Computer, as well as daily Religion lessons that include simple prayers. Children enjoy music and movement, outdoor play in their very own yard, snack time, and rest time—all designed to support healthy development and joyful learning.Children entering Pre-K3 or Pre-K4 must be three or four years old, respectively, by September 30. All children must also be fully potty trained before starting the program.

Kindergarten
The full-day Kindergarten program at St. Cletus builds on the strong foundation developed in Pre-K, helping children grow as confident listeners, speakers, readers, writers, and problem-solvers. Through engaging lessons in phonics, handwriting, and letter-sound relationships, students begin their journey toward becoming fluent readers and writers.
Each day, children move through hands-on learning centers that reinforce new skills and spark curiosity. They also enjoy enrichment classes like Physical Education, Art, Library, and Computer. Daily Religion lessons and weekly Mass help deepen their understanding of God’s love and their role in His world.
Our caring, experienced teachers plan memorable off-campus field trips and bring the seasons, feast days, and holidays to life through fun, meaningful classroom experiences—making each school day full of discovery and joy.

First GradeIn First grade at St. Cletus, children continue to grow as curious, capable learners, building on the strong foundation laid in Kindergarten. A balanced literacy approach to reading instruction allows emerging readers to develop both decoding and comprehension skills using mentor texts, authentic children's literature, and leveled reading selections.
Students in Kindergarten through Fourth grade benefit from our Blended Learning model, which combines traditional classroom instruction with digital tools. This flexible approach allows children to work at their own pace—whether they need extra support or are ready to move ahead—helping every child feel confident and successful.In math, First graders use manipulatives to explore and understand math concepts while moving toward writing and expressing these concepts more abstractly through symbols. Project-based learning in science and social studies encourages creativity and critical thinking as students explore the world around them.Daily Religion classes focus on sharing God’s love with others and learning about the life of Jesus. Enrichment classes like Physical Education, Computer, Library, and Art add variety and excitement to each school week, helping students discover their interests and grow in all areas.
